The scope of the specialized training and technical assistance in program planning and development will be determined by the organization’s needs.  The TNG staff will tailor training modules according to  two-and one-half or three- to five-day  training formats.   Examples of the available training and technical assistance topic areas include:

• Assessing the community needs for programs;
  
• Designing a logic model;
  
• Designing, implementing, and establishing program objectives that are consistent with the identified community needs and overall goals and objectives of the organization;
  
• Designing performance measures and outcome measures with associated cost factors that will lend themselves to successful monitoring and evaluation of the process and outcomes  of programs and activities.
  
• Articulating job descriptions and recruitment plans for attracting key personnel to the program;
  
• Reviewing and understanding requirements of federal and state funding agencies as related to protection of clients and employees of the program, including required protection of human subjects, parental involvement and consent, equal employment opportunities, protection of privacy, and other legal standards and requirements.
