The Nominal Group’s grants writing capacity-building services are provided only to those organizations that have utilized the technical assistance and services in starting a nonprofit organization, board development and training, or who have requested and utilized the grant writing training for two or more of their organization’s staff. Grant writing capacity-building training and technical assistance services will include assistance in completion of a maximum of two grant applications without additional fees being assessed.
Grants management training and technical assistance services will involve hands-on training and guidance in what to do after the grant has been awarded. It will include reinforcement training and technical assistance in implementing a performance management system; linking performance measures to budget and staff; designing internal budget management forms and procedures; and guidance in choosing an accountant to provide an audit of the grant for the awarding agency.
