The Division of Health Education functions to accomplish the strategic goal of The Nominal Group, Inc. to address the need for increased health awareness education and individual skills building training for disadvantaged children, young adults, and families. The division has two offices: 1) the Office of Health Education and Community Outreach; and 2) the Office of Special Projects.
The specific goals of the Office of Health Education and Community Outreach are to: 1) design and implement health education awareness and prevention services to youth, young adults, and their families and communities; and 2) develop and implement community-wide health and safety awareness and disease prevention training designed to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged minority persons.
The function of the Office of Special Projects is to further the goals of the Division of Health Education as related to funded projects through restricted funds. The specific goal of the Office of Special Projects is to effectively integrate HIV/AIDS, STD, substance use and abuse, and violence prevention and intervention activities into the community.
