HEALTH AWARENESS EDUCATION AND PREVENTION TRAININGS
Selected health awareness education and prevention topic areas for fiscal year 2008-2009, beginning October 1, 2009 and ending September 30, 2010, include the following: HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and AIDS (acquired immuno-deficiency syndrome); STIs (other sexually transmitted infections or diseases); SAP (substance abuse prevention); and prevention of injury through youth crime and violence. Unless otherwise published, all health awareness education and prevention workshops will be held at the site of The Nominal Group, Inc. 931 Highway 80 West, in Suite 2C-10 (large conference room), Jackson, Mississippi.
In addition to these community-wide trainings, interested nonprofit organizations may participate in, and are encouraged to review the calendar of comprehensive capacity-building training and technical assistance for inter-agency trainings.
