Chairman's Message
Welcome to the website for The Nominal Group, Inc. (TNG)! We are energized by this our latest effort in delivering health education training and capacity-building training and technical assistance services to disadvantaged and minority children, youth and young adults; their families and communities; and the nonprofit organizations that serve them.
We encourage you to use this site to learn more about TNG and to explore our offerings. You will find noted on our website a profile of our organization and some highlights of accomplishments during our seven years of existence—since January 1997. You will also find current information and activities designed to enable the ongoing fulfillment of our two-fold mission:
- To address the need for increased health awareness education and individual skills building training for disadvantaged children, youth, young adults, and their families; and
- To address the technical assistance needs of community-based organizations that provide targeted services to this population.
Be sure to check out our training and activities calendars to access information about our current offerings. Our services are offered in basic services or comprehensive services formats. Basic services are open to requesting individuals, groups, or the general public and are provided in general health awareness education and prevention training and in capacity building basic training areas.
Comprehensive capacity-building training and technical assistance services are tailored to meet the assessed needs of requesting nonprofit organizations that are starting, developing, or matured. The services are designed to fully equip the organization with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan, develop, manage, and perpetuate a 501(c )(3) organization consistent with their identified mission or purpose, values, and vision.
